The Winding River Art Gallery & Gifts is a co-operative gallery located inside Mastodon Ridge in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, halfway between the equator and the North Pole. We are dedicated to the recognition, promotion and celebration of our gallery artists as well as non-members by offering contests and art displays throughout the year. Our gallery gives the community of Stewiacke and area access to professional artists and fosters the development of community involvement in the arts. We respect and celebrate the involvement of all people and seek to enhance the sense of pride in this community. The goals of the gallery are:

• to promote visual artists, authors, publishers, aboriginal artists and immigrants

• to market our work to neighbouring communities and tourists

• to bring people together from different backgrounds
  

• to promote culture and the province's identity

• to embrace, support and promote the arts in our all communities

• The gallery is the focus of a team of dedicated artists who are joined by the co-operative spirit. Many hours of planning and painting show the culmination of a wonderful collection of art in several mediums as well as small gift items. Other expressions include pottery, jewelry, glass art, sculpture, photography and wood which have generated much acclaim. Drop by and spend some time in communion with creativity.
